Paper Grade Definitions

12. Double-Sorted Corrugated
Paper grade which contains baled, double sorted corrugated containers, the source of which are supermarkets and commercial buisnesses, which have liners of test liners, jute, or kraft. The material is organized so that it is free of off-shore corrugated, boxboard, wax, and plastic.

Prohibitive Materials: not more than 0.5%
Total Outthrows: not more than 2%


13. New Double-Lined Kraft Corrugated Cuttings
Paper grade which has new, baled corrugated cuttings which have liners of either test liner, jute or kraft. Materials not permitted in this grade include treated medium or liners, butt rolls, insoluable adhesives, and slabbed or hogged medium.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 2%


15. Used Brown Craft
Paper grade which contains used baled brown kraft bags free of liners and contents.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 0.5%


16. Mixed Kraft Cuttings
Paper grade which contains new brown kraft cuttings and sheets. Also contains bag scrap free of stiched paper.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 1%


17. Carrier Stock
Paper grade which contains baled unbleached new beverage containers sheets and cuttings. May also have additional chemicals to strengthen the paper while wet.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 1%


18. New Colored Kraft
Paper grade which has new baled colored kraft cuttings, sheets and bag scrap. Stiched papers are not allowed in this grade.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 1%


19. Grocery Bag Scrap
Paper grade which contains grocery bag scrap, cuttings, sheets, and any bags which have misprints.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed


20. Kraft Multi-Wall Bag Scrap
Paper grade similar to above, except scraps are multi-walled.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 1%

21. New Brown Kraft Envelope Cuttings
Paper grade which contains kraft envelopes which are baled.

No Prohibitive materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 1%


22. Mixed Groundwood Shavings
Paper grade which has baled magazine trimmings, catalogues, and anything composed of similar materials. Contains mixed coated and/or groundwood stock as well as solid color printings, beater-dyed paper, and insert stock.

No Prohibitive Materials Allowed
Total Outthrows: not more than 2%
